Overview

What is commercial license attestation?

Licences prove that your business is allowed to manufacture or trade a product: municipal trade licences, factory licences, drug manufacturing licences, FSSAI licences and similar permits.

Buyers and regulators abroad ask for them in product registration and supplier approval. A certified copy is notarised and chamber-attested, then legalised through the MEA and embassy, or apostilled.

Who issues it in India

Trade, factory, manufacturing, drug and FSSAI licences are issued by municipal, state or central authorities depending on the activity.

Why it is needed abroad

  • Product registration by regulators
  • Plant or supplier approval
  • Tenders
