Chamber of Commerce Attestation in India
Almost every commercial document starts its legalisation at a Chamber of Commerce. We guide you through the chamber step and take the documents on to the MEA and embassy.
- Embassy Chamber → MEA attestation → Embassy
- Apostille Notary → Chamber → MEA apostille
How it works
Chambers of commerce in India, including national chambers and state chambers, attest documents for their member companies. The chamber checks the company's membership, the authorised signatory's specimen signature and supporting documents such as the bill of lading, then stamps the original.
Commercial invoices, certificates of origin, packing lists, agreements, powers of attorney, product lists and pharma certificates are commonly chamber-attested. The MEA will usually not attest a private commercial document without this first stamp.
If your company is not yet a member of a chamber, we explain the options and the papers the chamber will ask for, so your first attestation goes through smoothly.
