What is commercial invoice attestation?

The commercial invoice records the seller, buyer, goods, HS codes, quantities, prices and delivery terms of a shipment. Importing authorities and banks use it for customs valuation, duty and payment.

Because the invoice is a private company document, its legalisation starts with an Indian Chamber of Commerce, which checks your company and signatory. The MEA then verifies the chamber's stamp, followed by the embassy stamp or an apostille.
