Overview

What is business agreement attestation?

Sale and supply contracts, service agreements, joint venture agreements and MoUs signed in India often need legal effect abroad, for tenders, bank financing, registrations or court proceedings.

The signed agreement is notarised and attested by a Chamber of Commerce before the MEA stage. Embassy countries then legalise it; Hague countries accept the MEA apostille.

Who issues it in India

Business agreements such as sale, supply, service, joint venture or MoU documents are executed by your company's authorised signatory.

Why it is needed abroad

  • Tenders and supplier registration
  • Joint venture or project registration
  • Bank financing and dispute resolution
